Compact parking solutions for student accommodation on the banks of the Rhine
In the heart of Ludwigshafen, the Ludwigsquartier is a forward-looking residential project for students – located directly on the banks of the Rhine and embedded in a modern neighbourhood development. The International Campus Group is building a student residence here with 337 apartments and an integrated daycare centre.
The hall of residence is located on construction site B of the Ludwigsquartier and has a single-storey underground car park with an area of around 783 m². Its central location on the waterfront and short distance to the University of Mannheim offer maximum living comfort. There is also a daycare centre on the ground floor of the building.
The project used 30 space-saving WÖHR Parklift 450 systems for a total of 108 car parking spaces, which are characterised by their robust construction, simple operation and high ease of maintenance. The systems were individually tailored to the structural conditions and fit seamlessly into the sustainable overall concept of the quarter.
The parking solutions used contribute to the sustainable use of urban space and support the project's goal of achieving LEED Gold certification. The systems are durable, low-maintenance and offer the residents of the student residence convenient parking – directly below their living space.
The student residence and daycare centre in the Ludwigsquartier district are part of a forward-looking residential project that combines student life, family friendliness and sustainable urban development.
