Nansenløkka / Fornebu, Norwegia / COMBILIFT 552 & PARKING PLATFORM 601
Parking reimagined: WÖHR creates parking space for the future neighbourhood of Nansenløkka
Nansenløkka is part of an ambitious FutureBuilt development programme that aims to create particularly sustainable and climate-friendly urban neighbourhoods. A total of 36 teams of architects from five countries took part in the competition. The contract was awarded to Dyrvik Arkitekter (Add arkitekter) and Transborder Studio.
The project comprises a total of up to 600 residential units, around 150 of which were built according to strict FutureBuilt criteria. Nansenløkka thus meets particularly high ecological requirements that go far beyond current standards.
Sustainability as a central development goal
The concept focuses on a comprehensive approach to sustainability. This includes energy-efficient building types such as zero-energy and plus-energy houses, which together save around 2 million kWh of energy per year compared to conventional residential buildings. This is complemented by various future-oriented topics such as the shared economy, green mobility, urban agriculture, home automation and communal usage concepts, which make life in the neighbourhood more sustainable and social.
In addition, commercial spaces on the ground floor contribute to the revitalisation of the district and promote a functional mix that supports short distances and climate-friendly mobility.
Contribution of WÖHR parking systems to neighbourhood quality
As part of the forward-looking Nansenløkka neighbourhood development in Fornebu, modern parking solutions from WÖHR were used to optimally support the urban mobility requirements of the new district. For the first construction phase, WÖHR supplied both the 601 parking platform and the Combilift 552, which were installed individually and in combination and together provide 46 parking spaces.
The installed WÖHR parking systems make a significant contribution to the efficient use of the available space. The combination of the Parking Platform 601 and Combilift 552 allows parking spaces to be organised in a space-saving manner without compromising valuable urban recreational areas. The systems fit seamlessly into the architectural structure and support the sustainable mobility goals of the FutureBuilt concept.
With an additional construction phase that will create a further 36 parking spaces using the Park Platform 601, the parking capacity will be expanded in line with demand while continuing the compact, space-saving design.
Nansenløkka combines sophisticated architecture, innovative sustainability concepts and high-quality mobility solutions to create a modern, liveable district. WÖHR parking systems play a central role in this by efficiently providing the necessary parking space while supporting the urban vision of a green, connected and sustainable residential neighbourhood.
